I use the German Face Paints known as kryolan for my face paintings & body painting most of the time but, when I am out of kryolan I use Snazaroo paints. I can tell a difference because I wear the paint all day at times grin. I do not use Chinese or american face paints! I use only the best paint for face painting and body painting.
Made in China & Made In The USA *I stay away from Paint and stuff made in the usa for obvious reasons* Paint made in the usa only has to follow american standards by the fda ect. That means of course it probably will not pass for safe use in europe. European Standards of what is safe is far more strict than what you find in america. Lots of paint and even foods in the usa are not allowed in europe.
If you feel you must have paint made in the usa I would say get the palmer paints here. Palmer Face Paints american made in usa is not good for my actual paintings but, for kids to paint with they are ok. If you have to buy made in the usa paint then palmer is the best out of the american made paints that are cheap. If you are a face painter or body painter do not try using the american made paints there for they crack and flake off. That is not cool! Even my lifetime in the usa I never use or buy american made paint for use on anyone. It is well worth the cost to buy the real stuff made in europe.
If you use Ben Nye paint or any paint made in the usa or made in Canada ect you have to watch for things like coco butter or other ingredients in the face paints that people could be allergic to. If you are face painting other people and art a face painter for hire you really should not use things with unnecessary additive that could case allergic reactions. Also if there is any type of chemicals like found in the henna that can burn skin do not use it! Try using paints that are approved by standards used in europe & stay away from any paint that can cause problems or make people have to search how to get paint stains off skin or clothing grin.
